On December 26, 2015 our first grandchild came into the world at 10:15 PM. She weighed 7 pounds 1 1/2 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Her name is Sadie Marie.
Sadie is the third generation in our family to have the middle name Marie, as it is also my middle name and her mothers.
She is beyond precious, beyond beautiful, and beyond perfect in every human way. She has a full head of dark hair and beautiful dark blue eyes. The only thing that's causing a struggle for her parents is the fact that Miss Sadie has her days and nights mixed up at the moment, so her poor parents are so very exhausted.
My daughter came over with Sadie yesterday and we were sitting there when all of a sudden my poor daughter just broke down in tears because she's so tired. My other daughter happen to be at our house also, so we encouraged her to go home and take a nap while we take care of the baby. She did that and was so thankful because she felt so much better. I reassured her that ALL new mothers have felt exactly as she does, and I also promised her that it will get better. 🙂
